A collage of nature images and people spending time outdoors

Dear Nature and Health Community:

After spending the day with more than 100 members of the NW Nature & Health community at our 9th symposium, we’re feeling genuinely energized, hopeful, and inspired. Together, we learned from 14 speakers, connected across disciplines, and left with fresh ideas for new programs and research. If you couldn’t join us, you can learn more about the gathering here. As we look ahead to our 10th symposium next year, we’d love to hear your ideas on how to make it even more meaningful and impactful.

While the school year is winding down, our work isn’t. We’re continuing to advance our economic analysis on how time spent in nature can reduce healthcare costs and research what’s happening inside of us that causes us to respond positively to nature. We’re also looking forward to hosting a Community Dinner on June 2 with Dr. Sabine Thomas, and hope to see you there.

As the school year comes to a close, we wish you a relaxing and rejuvenating summer.
