On April 29, 2026, we came together with an extraordinary community of advocates, researchers, educators, students, practitioners, and partners during the annual NW Nature and Health Symposium. The experience left our team and the broader nature and health community feeling hopeful, energized, and deeply inspired about what’s possible when people unite around a shared vision for healthier, more equitable communities.

More than 100 participants from across the region explored groundbreaking research, innovative programs, and bold ideas shaping the future of nature, health, and environmental equity. The energy throughout the symposium was undeniable, and we were reminded of the power of gathering in community with so many people committed to building a healthier, more inclusive future for all.

Our ninth symposium featured an interdisciplinary and inspiring lineup — from poets and educators to researchers and students. They each brought unique perspectives and powerful insights. We want to offer our deepest thanks to the incredible presenters who traveled from near and far. Their commitment and passion for exploring the reciprocal relationships between nature and health have ignited powerful conversations and more importantly, inspired real, meaningful action. Learn more about their work below.

As we look ahead to our 10th symposium in 2027, we’d love to hear your ideas on how to make it even more meaningful and impactful.
